Tithes and offerings
You are welcome to give your tithes via the Zelle link above or via check if you attend in person services.
Why do we tithe?
“tithes” was translated from the Hebrew word “ma`aser” (4643) and the Greek word “dekatoo” (1183) and it simply means “tenth part”, so to “tithe” simple means to give the tenth part or 10%.
We tithe because it is required of us - still today (2 Chronicles 31:4, Luke 11:42, Hebrews 7:5).
The tithe:
-
belongs to GOD (Leviticus 27:30-32, Malachi 3:8-12)
-
it is HIS property (Leviticus 25:23, Deuteronomy 6:10-15, Matthew 21:33-34, Psalm 24:1, 1 Corinthians 10:26)
-
is given to honor or respect GOD (Proverbs 3:9-10) by acknowledging from where your blessing came from (James 1:17, 1 John 1:5)
-
it provides the support needed for ministers to do the work of GOD (Numbers 18:20-24, Nehemiah 12:44-47, Nehemiah 13:10-12, 1 Corinthians 9:7-14)
-
it provides for those who do not have (Deuteronomy 14:27-29, Deuteronomy 26:12, Romans 15:25-27)
